Hip Hip Hooray! It is CMC's Pi-Tau Campaign!

Between Pi Day (3/14) and Tau Day (6/28) is the perfect time to support Cambridge Math Circle. Did you know that most of our students get their Math Circle experience for free or at a reduced rate? It's true! Your support today will help us reach our goal of $31,415.92, which will allow CMC to continue offering fun and challenging math so that all of Cambridge's youth get their piece of the Pi(e), in one of our academic year or summer offerings!

As a special thank-you, all Pi-Day donors will be entered into all of the remaining raffles (6 total) to win the following prizes:

  • A super-soft Cambridge Math Circle T-shirt (complete with math joke on the back, this shirt is one of a limited run)
  • A Rubik's cube and/or math games (fun for all ages, we promise!

Raffle drawings take place on Sunday nights at 10 pm. Donate now and be entered into all of the raffles that remain!

Package Name Amount Quantity Subtotal

Pi-in-the-Sky $0.00

Help pay for annual Cambridge Math Circle events like the MLK Day Math Festival in January, math nights at various schools, CMC participation in the City STEAM events, and our summer camp field trips.

T [tau] Level $0.00

For those not in the know, tau is the less famous cousin of pi, T = 2π, useful because the quantity 2π comes up in all sorts of math and science contexts....and those in the know understand that summer learning is key in retaining math understanding from one year to the next. Your $628.32 gift can support a low-income Math Circle summer camper for a week.

Good as Apple-Pi $0.00

Support programs like our Lunch and Learn programs at the Morse and at Vassal Lane Upper School, where 60-90 2nd-8th graders eagerly take on weekly math challenges during lunch at their school.

Pi-Pacesetter $0.00

Help us keep pace with all of our high-energy students, including the at-risk boys who participate in our Fletcher-Maynard Academy Math Circle. They are one of the most fun and high-energy groups we have ever taught (22 kids in grades 2-5).

Pi-Thon Level $0.00

Beasts come in all shapes and sizes. When it comes to Cambridge Math Circle, we incorporate materials from the Beast Academy and the Art of Problem Solving curriculums. Your Pi-Thon level donation will help pay for class expenses like a trimester of Math Circle for a low-income student.

Pi-Day $0.00

In honor of Pi Day, donate $31.41 to support programming like our Cambridgeport and Haggerty after-school Math circles, where students work on fun math and share their knowledge with friends.

About Us

Cambridge Math Circle aims to serve all students, with a special focus on those who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. Since our founding in 2018, we have served over 1,000 students in Cambridge, giving elementary and middle school students a chance to experience deep, fascinating math and meet others who like solving puzzles and stretching their minds.

We offer citywide after-school and weekend classes during the the school year, and a day camp during the summer.  Both are aimed at promoting and encouraging the love of mathematics and problem solving skills.
