Hip Hip Hooray! It's Pi-Tau Day!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and a special thanks to the 54 donors who contributed to help us claim the full $13,000 match! For those who are here after the match closed, we still need your support to help reach our campaign goal!

Celebrate Pi Day by Sharing the Joy of Math!

Every day from 3/14 - 6/28, we celebrate the mathematical constant Ï€ (pi) and tau and the endless possibilities math brings to our lives. This Pi-Tau season, you can help students secure their place in a future where mathematical and technical know-how will be critical (hello AI), by giving them the gift of early math enrichment and problem-solving. Your generous support will help us reach our total Pi-Tau Fundraising goal of $31,415.93.

Meet our 6th Grader, Z: From Math Anxiety to Math Enthusiast

Before attending our summer program, Z was convinced math just "wasn't their thing" because it was boring. Struggling with math confidence and not seeing how math connects to their interests, Z never imagined math could be fun or exciting. Then Z came to our Summer Program and played with numbers, made math art, and interacted with visiting researchers from Harvard and MIT working at the cutting edge of science and math. Suddenly, math became colorful, fun, and something to be curious about. Z's experience was possible because of supporters like you.

Help us continue our work of sharing the joy of math with all children, and giving them the opportunity to work on challenging math that builds their academic confidence and resilience. Thank you!

Package Name Amount Quantity Subtotal

Pi-in-the-Sky $0.00

Help pay for a week of CMC's Summer Program for one student, including extended day and materials.

T [tau] Level $0.00

For those not in the know, tau is the less famous cousin of pi, T = 2Ï€, useful because the quantity 2Ï€ comes up in all sorts of math and science contexts....and those in the know understand that summer learning is key in retaining math understanding from one year to the next. Your $628.32 gift can support a low-income Math Circle summer camper for a week.

Pi-Thon Level $0.00

Beasts come in all shapes and sizes. When it comes to CMC's Preparatory Math classes, we incorporate materials from the Beast Academy and the Art of Problem Solving curriculums. Your Pi-Thon level donation helps pay for these classes for a low-income student for five weeks.  (Doubling your donation here will pay for a whole trimester of classes for one student).

Good as Apple-Pi $0.00

Pi-Pacesetter $0.00

Pi-Day $0.00

In honor of Pi Day, donate $31.41 to support programming like our after-school Math Circles, where students work on fun math and share their knowledge with friends.
